- Made famous in the popular 1990 movie with the same name starring super young actors Brooke Shields and Christopher Atkins, and telling the story of a couple of teenagers that get stranded alone for many years at Blue Lagoonbefore getting rescued, the movie is a naturalistic love story, that created some scandal when it came out.
- Located in Portland nearby Port Antonio, Blue Lagoon is one of Jamaica’s and the world most beautiful locations, and one of the best place for a freshwater dip in the island with a 180ft-deep into an extinct volcano, surrounded by super lush vegetation.
- It’s a different experience to swim in it because the cool freshwater river springs meet the warm seawater.

- Not too far from Blue Lagoon via boat, also known as Laughing Waters Beach and Roaring River Beach, sits James Bond Beach.
