- – August 2011 Corey Todd , Kartel’s former manager, made more headlines for reacting with rage to a Kartel song being played in his club and attacked a DJ, while Vybz Kartel didn’t show up to a big show staged in Guyana at the very last minute,sending in panic the promoters and resulting in being banned from airwaves and considered not welcome anymore in the country. Kartel said he received death threats and that was the reason he didn’t go, but wasn’t the first time he flaked on Guyana .
- – September 2011 Vybz Kartel launched – Teacha’s Pet and his own skin care line of beauty and skin products including his fragrances, debuting on the market on September 15. Rumors were he was also about to debut his own application for i-Phone, i-Pod Touch and i-Pad to promote and expand his brands. He also came out with the song – Dedication.
