- Vybz Kartel and four of his co-accused were remanded when they appeared in the Supreme Court today for the murder of Clive ‘Lizard’ Williams, allegedly occurred on August 16, 2011,in St Andrew, over the disappearance of two illegal firearms.
- Charged with Vybz Kartel for Williams’ murder are fashion designer Calvin Haye, entertainer Shawn ‘Shawn Storm’ Campbell, Andre St John, Kahira Jones and Shane Williams.
- Haye was offered $1 million bail during a previous court appearance. A bail application filed on behalf of Campbell by attorney Micheal Deans, was denied. They all will return again to court on April 13.
- The court was told that a forensic certificate was outstanding and transcripts of recordings of the accused men are to be served on the defense.
- Yesterday Vybz Kartel’s court day started late, Neita-Robertson, one of Vybz Kartel’s lawyers, in expressing disapproval with the late start, said
- Neita-Robertson said she and other lawyers had waited for half a day for the cases to be mentioned in the Home Circuit Court.
- Christine McDonald, who was presiding the court, did not comment on the late start, but she asked for the cases to be dealt with speedily. Williams and St John are unrepresented, and it is expected that on their return, legal representation will be settled.

Charged with Vybz Kartel for Williams’ murder are fashion designer Calvin Haye, entertainer Shawn ‘Shawn Storm’ Campbell, Andre St John, Kahira Jones and Shane Williams.
