IRAWMA 2013 Reggae & World Music Awards Comes To Coral Springs Florida

The 32nd Annual International Reggae and World Music Awards (IRAWMA) is an evening of glitz, glamour and grandeur, celebrating the electrifying sounds of world music!

With veteran Reggae superstar Freddie McGregor and Reggae princess Etana as hosts, this star studded event returns to South Florida for the 5th time in true red carpet fashion.

The internationally renowned Reggae group, Inner Circle, will add to the night’s entertainment with a birthday tribute performance to their former lead singer, the late Jacob Miller.

This year’s top nominee and breakthrough artiste, Mr. Vegas, will take to the stage along with 15 other world music artistes and nominees. African Reggae Music Star, Wyre Confirms Attendance to IRAWMA.

With the staging of the 32nd Annual International Reggae and World Music Awards (IRAWMA) set for May 4, at Coral Springs Center for the Arts, – Coral Springs, Florida – excitement is mounting as more celebrities are added to the roster of performers and presenters.

Top African Reggae and World Music entertainer Wyre has confirmed his attendance and will perform at this year’s IRAWMA which is creating quite a buzz among his fans worldwide.

No stranger to winning awards, Wyre, known as “Da Lovechild” was nominated in the Annual Channel Of Africa Music Awards in South Africa for his single” Uprising” in the best Reggae/Dancehall Category, which was featured on the Relationships Riddim produced by Arif Cooper for Fresh Ear Productions in 2011.

Wyre was also nominated in the same awards for his hit single “She Say Dat” featuring Jamaican dancehall star Cecile in the same category. The single rose to the top of all major charts across Africa.

Wyre has been quite busy in the past year considering he has had two running corporate endorsements in addition to releasing winning singles on a consistent basis. 

Wyre has a corporate endorsement with one of Kenya’s leading mobile communications service provider, Safaricom alongside several other artists.  He is also the current Brand Ambassador for Samsung in Kenya.  As busy as his schedule is, he found it important to take time to attend and perform at this year’s IRAWMA.

This year’s IRAWMA is dedicated to Health and Wellness, and will be hosted by Jamaican superstars Freddie McGregor and Etana.

It’s going to be a night of Glitz, Glamor and Grandeur, starting with the red carpet arrival of celebrities at 6:00 pm, a VIP reception and the electrifying awards ceremony which will begin at 8:00 pm.
