Sparta, real name Leroy Russell, is currently behind bars and will have to stay in prison for 3 years following ammunition and gun charges.

The Spartan Soldier deejay has been hospitalized in the recent months following an horrible assault against him by the hands of the jail guards . The assault was so bad they sent Tommy Lee to the hospital, get all the details here.

After leaving the hospital, where he received assistance for his wounds always guarded by police and heavy guards, Sparta was transferred to a new facility.

While the dancehall deejay has been detained a lot of new music came out, and even if there are always new emerging dancehall artists, some of whom get inspired by Sparta’s music, videos, looks and lyrics, the originality of this artist keeps charming fans all over the world.
