- Buju Banton‘s legal team filed an appeal last week in a Georgia appeals court, citing violation of said act whilst intimating that Mark Myrie was not a willing participant in any drug conspiracy.
- Buju could also have to wait another year in prison before he knows whether the appeal against a 10-year sentence filed by his attorneys last week, has been successful. His lead attorney, David Oscar Markus, said the prosecution has between 30 and 60 days to respond to the appeal.
