- On Friday August 21st, Mass Appeal premieres the documentary “Jamaica Inna Real Life”, a film about Hood Celebrity whose worldwide hit “Walking Trophy” landed her a deal with Epic Records.
- “Hood Celebrity is managed by KSR Productions, the same team that brought Cardi B to stardom,” stated producer Reshma B. “In fact, she and Cardi came up together but her style is more dancehall influenced due to the fact that she was born in Jamaica. She moved to New York with her family when she was just 12 years old. Hood came to the U.S. as one of the DACA children or ‘Dreamers‘ that we’ve been hearing about a lot in the news lately.”
