- Reggae legend Jimmy Cliff is one of the headline acts on the upcoming Montreal International Reggae Festival.
- The highly anticipated festival will pay tribute to Jamaica’s 50th anniversary of independence.
- The festival will be held from August 17-19. The show will feature different generations of Reggae and the line up will include performances from Konshens, Khago, Luciano, Christopher Martin and Tarrus Riley.

‘Rebirth’ is the fruit of the collaboration between Jimmy Cliff and award-winning producer Tim Armstrong, from The Clash, who produced the whole album, which includes thirteen tracks.

Rebirth features his brand new single One More and also an incredible interpretation of the classic song, Guns of Brixton, that will be available from 16th July.
The single is a perfect balanced mix of Ska, Rock Steady and Pop and it’s already going strong. Everybody is cheering up to this reunion, it was Trojan Records that released his debut album back in 1969.
Of the album, Jimmy himself says :
“I was inspired to re-visit my musical past and decided to go back to my roots on this record, Rebirth is a new chapter in my life and signifies a rebirth in my career and all I have left to accomplish.”
