Let’s talk about young and fresh Jamaican female dancehall artist Tifa, that is topping charts with her single ‘ Hold On’.

She recently performed in Miami Florida, during Reggae World Unity Festival , this past January 20, delivering a super energetic performance that pleased fans and dancehall lovers.

Raising star Tifa was also one of the most awarded female artists at the recent 6th staging of Youth Views Awards 2013 and just dropped her new  official video for “Champion Bubbler” on Mixpak Records, produced by Dre Skull.

Tifa, real name Latifa Brown, is a bright star in the dancehall planet, a hard working artist able to deliver superb live performances, she is just not your average recording artist.

Tifa is planning on releasing her first album in the first quarter of 2013,  titled “Twisted Footprints”, a title chosen because it reflects her journey as a woman and as an artist.

Tifa also just finished to wrap up the official video for Champion Bubbler, featured on the popular  Kling Klang riddim produced by Dre Skull for his label Mixpak  Records.

Popcaan’s ‘So We Do It’ video dropped on Mixpak just a couple weeks back and now at Mixpak they’re letting Tifa’s ‘Champion Bubbler’ loose.

Tifa’s newest video was filmed at the Stanley Gold gym in Kingston by Andy Capper (director of Snoop’s Reincarnated), and features Tifa training and performing with members of the Jamaican national female boxing team. 

The initial title of her album was simply T.I.F.A. ( This Is For Anyone) becuase she is sure there will be something on  it for everyone since the album includes songs about unity, heartbreak, love, justice and more. 

The album will be featuring a piece of her repertoire including interludes, skits and also some collaborations.

Tifa’s upcoming album  “Twisted Footsteps” will include a lot of new songs, songs the public hasn’t heard yet.

Tifa keeps busy and she is also a Digicel Brand Ambassador, about it she commented 

“I am a part of an elite group with the fastest man in the world, the fastest woman in the world, I-Octane, somebody that placed second in Miss Universe. I am part of some amazing people. Out of 2.7 million people, they chose me. I get a platform to showcase me. I get a platform to motivate people, not only with my music, but to say, ‘Look here, for everybody who thinks, oh, I am in a wheelchair, or my face cut up or I am too dark, anything is possible once you work hard at it.”

ABOUT THE KLING KLANG RIDDIM

Released in Summer 2012, Dre Skull’s Kling Klang riddim has since been gathering momentum across the world, with support from David Rodigan, ZJ Elektra, Robba Ranx, Major Lazer, Benji B & Toddla T.

Named after Kraftwerk’s legendary German studio, the riddim takes some inspiration from their repertoire: Dre Skull’s beat revs up to the sound of an engine, then breaks into a minimal soundscape powered by cymbals, resonating bass and lasers that waver on computer game aesthetics before accelerating into the chorus.

Sitting alongside cuts from Popcaan, Beenie Man, Suku and Deva Bratt, Tifa brings her boasy style as a “Champion Bubbler,” laying claim to more winds than a country road and a repertoire of dances ranging from the 6.30 to Tick It Like A Clock.

In early 2013, Mixpak releases three accompanying videos for the riddim. Popcaan’s bike stuntin’ “So We Do It” video dropped in mid-January.  

Up next is the video for Tifa’s “Champion Bubbler” that features Tifa training and performing with members of the Jamaican national female boxing team.
