Vybz Kartel has been quite a talk on social medias after he shared on his IG page that he was splitting from his common wife Shorty Tanesha Jonhson, leaving fans a little baffled.

After taking jabs at his long time common-law wife, the incarcerated Dancehall star right-hand man, Sikka Rhymes, confirmed their split, adding that Vybz Kartel banned Shorty’s visits in jail and disclosing that Shorty is no longer authorized to conduct any business on the artist’s behalf.

Sikka Rhymes revealed that Shorty’s attitude changed drastically following Kartel’s incarceration.

“Everything was good when Vybz Kartel was at road but from him get lock up certain things change,” he said.

As for now Vybz Kartel does not want to hear about Shorty, going public on their separation, blasting her on social media and displaying his new love interest: a Turkish girlfriend, attracting some comments from some of his fans, that Addi schooled on his IG page, when they touched the subject of his new girl’s color skin.

Fans of Vybz Kartel and Shorty took the news at heart and a lot of vexing as been going on. While Kartel has been pretty outspoken, Shorty Tanisha Jonson, has remained tight-lipped. 

Vybz Kartel and Shorty have been a legendary dancehall couple, an item for over a decade and share three sons together. Vybz Kartel is a proud father of 7 kids.

Vybz Kartel, real name Adidja Azim Palmer, has been behind bars since the end of September 2011, under going two trials for murder. He was found not guilty for one and sentenced to 35 years without parole in 2014.

After filing an appeal Vybz Kartel will appear again before the court on July 9th when his new trial will start and hopefully the Exiled Pharaoh will finally come out a road.
